Camp

Growing up, I used to go to camp in Port Sydney, ON (think Huntsville), throughout the span of about eight years. Friggin loved it. Didn't want to stop going. But also didn't really want to become a counselor.

Every time it was someone's birthday at camp, everyone in the dining hall (imagine 300 or so kids and a bunch of counselors) would sing Happy Birthday and directly afterwards sing the camp birthday song, that went like so,
"Skip around the dining hall,
skip around the dining hall,
skip around the dining hall, skip, skip, skip."
(not at all kidding) Then the poor birthday boy or girl would have to, you guessed it, skip around the dining hall, while everyone was singing this song.

I used to thank the lord it was never my birthday when I went to camp. I was horrified by this simple act of birthday fun.
